The Top Five Website Mistakes Made By The Cash Based Chiropractor

Your website is most people’s first interaction with your clinic. A good chiropractic website will make it crystal clear who you help, build trust, create desire, and make it easy for any potential client to contact you. Avoiding the following mistakes will help you make a good first impression and increase the likelihood that your website visitors will reach out to learn more.

  1. Book Now Button

When you’re on a first date, no matter how much you like the other person, it’s usually a bad idea to ask them to marry you. The ‘Book Now’ button skips a lot of important steps that help build trust with your clinic. Even if they do show up, how do we know they’re going to be a good fit for your clinic? Just like in the dating world, it’s important to get to know your potential client, their concerns and their goals, to be sure you can help them before commiting them to an exam. A better approach is an invitation to set up a free phone call or consultation.

  2. Listing Prices

Remember, price and value are seperate things. Price is what someone pays, value is what they get. The benefit of a cash based chiropractor is they are able to provide more value than a clinic beholden to insurance companies. It’s important for the cash based chiropractor to have a chance to demonstrate and communicate this value to potential clients. Listing prices on your website will scare away a lot of people you can help before you even have a chance to speak to them and is why it’s better to leave them off.

  3. No Clear Indication Of Who You Help Or What Problems You Solve

Many chiropractic websites are confusing with regards to what they actually do. Your website needs to make it abundantly clear who exactly it is you help and what problems you solve for them. Which is why it’s vital that all cash based clinics have unique selling proposition (USP). Your USP is what sets you apart from all other insurance based chiropractic and tells your website visitors exactly what to expect.

On my website (www.performancehealthcarepdx.com) the first thing you’ll see is my USP, “We help adults 40+ solve chronic joint pain, keep active, and maintain their lifestyle as they get older.” It’s also the top headling on every other page of the website so anyone scrolling won’t be confused about what we do.

  4. A Bio Page That Only Focuses On The Doctor

The sad reality is most of the general public doesn’t care about all of our fancy credentials. They want to know if you can fix their specific problem. I see a lot of chiropractic websites that only focus on how important the doctor is without any mention of their patients. A good ‘Bio’ page on your website should focus on how your credentials and experience can solve the patient’s problems.

  5. Only One Way To Contact

The ultimate goal of your website is to encourage visitors to contact you. Not everyone is comfortable on the phone. Not everyone is comfortable in person. Some people want help right away. Others are nervous to make the first move. You can increase the likelihood that your visitor will reach out by having multiple ways to contact your clinic. On my website you’ll see ‘Call Now’ buttons, links to fill out forms to request a call back, and ways to download free information. All ways to encourage people to get in contact with my clinic.

As you can tell, it’s important to know who your website is speaking to. Getting crystal clear on who you help and what problems you solve will improve your website as well as every other aspect of your cash based chiropractic clinic.
